Post Med. Abortion Problems

I am 5 days post ab and have several issues/concerns. I am 25 years old and this is my first ab. I would greatly appreciate any info. on whether or not this is normal.

(1) On 2/27 I took the mifepristone at the clinic. The next night, 2/28, I inserted 4 misoprostol. Within 3 hours I experienced the heavy bleeding, cramping, and clotting. Since then I have continued to bleed steadily but at a somewhat declining rate. Is this normal? How much longer can I expect this bleeding to last?

(2) I was about 6 days late in my period, so approximately 5 wks along. I was already showing many of the first trimester signs--enlarged abdomen, enlarged breasts and hips. The morning immediately following the miso, I noticed I had somewhat deflated, but over the last 3 days, I pretty much look the same and possibly larger stomach and hips. Is this normal?--I am not eating any differently, in fact I have paid extra close attention to my calories since I can't exercise right now and know I am not overeating. I know the uterus was beginning to expand and the hormones preparing my body for pregnancy but how long could this bloating/inflated state last? Prior to the I was maintaining 135lbs, as of this morning I am up to 145lbs.

(3) Before this all happened, I was a very active person--really into fitness and training/competing in 5Ks. Will I ever be able to return to any of this? Right now, I am up and down all the time--my life feels like a shell of what it used to be. My boyfriend has been a great support system but I hide in my baggiest clothes and feel ashamed of my body and this ab. Does any of this ever change--I just can't see a bright side anymore.

Thank you for reading and listening.

I understand your concerns, but if you had read any of our posts you would understand that this is not the appropriate place for you to voice them.  This forum is a haven for women who have lost a pregnancy they desperately wanted, or women who are in danger of losing a greatly wanted pregnancy.  There are other forums more appropriate for your issues.

That being said, if you have any worries you should call the clinic where you originally were seen and given the medication.  They should be able to answer any questions you have and give you the information you are looking for.  We don't have that information, as we have lost pregnancies not by choice.
You can look for support groups also, if you are having a hard time adjusting.  That is very common.

i agree with mikaleen this isnt the right place to ask you should find an abortion support group not a miscarrige community , i had a miscarrige in december and i really wanted that baby so to hear you talk about choosing to do that to yourself is beyond me , i just hope it wasnt for medical reasons or any other reason , because thats the only way i can even begin to agree with abortion , i just hope you dont regret it 1 day .. good luck for the future .

I really apologize if I offended anyone here.  I misunderstood the purpose of this forum.  I wish you both the best in your recoveries from your miscarrige.
