I went for my routine Pap smear. During my pelvic exam the nurse practitioner found an anterior fibroid. She was not able to remove it in the examination room. They also did a vaginal ultra sound, but it showed nothing. The nurse practitioner said the doctor agreed that it would have to be removed by surgery. I do not have heavy bleeding during my periods but have noticed bloating, shortness of breath and pain in the pelvic area the last two months. I am meeting with the doctor again on Friday. Should I be concerned about Ovarian Cancer?
