Severe clotting during menstruation

My period was about four days late this month - which has been occurring a lot lately - and I've had severe clotting pretty much all day today. A few hours ago I saw (and felt) clots come out that were about the size of a small fist ... could this be a result of severe stress ?? I'm concerned, but know that clotting is not abnormal. However, I'm concerned about the size of the clots and the fact that I've gone through about seven tampons today.

All that clotting is certainly the sign of another issue.  During my miscarriage, I didn't see clots that big.  Seek the advice of your ob/gyn....

i agree with the other post...you should see your gyn.
mind you like you said clots are normal during periods but anything big like a
golf ball or bigger calls for a little concern...

This would be a question for your gynecologist.  Clotting and heavy bleeding can be the result of many things, some of which are hormonal.  If this is a frequent occurance, you should go get checked out.
