Something isn't right

Hi, I'm fairly new here. Since May of 05 I have had really irregular periods, I'm not even sure if this is the right place for this but I need some sort of answers of what things it could be, I'll be going to the doctor as soon as I can.

May of 05 I skipped my period, I thought I was pregnant again but I wasn't, the following month I started my period and it lasted for a month straight, I stopped for 1 week and started up again, this time my period lasted for 2 months, now the way it happens is I'll get my period for 2 months straight, then stop for 1 week and start back up.

I've been tested for cancer, I've been tested for just about everything, the only things I think is left is a D&C to see if I just need a good cleaning out, or to get tested for Endometriouses. the first month of my period I do not cramp, but as soon as the first month is over I cramp really bad, I'm doubled over in pain and it feels like I'm in labor again. When I'm in the 1 week of no bleeding I cramp like I'm in labor. I never feel good, I"m always tired, and I have no energy.

Anyone have any ideas of this could be? I'm not asking for a dignose I just want some other ideas to maybe ask my doctor about when I go back.

FieldofDreams is right!! What does the doctor want to do to handle this disease? A laproscopy is the only way to definitively diagnosis endometriosis. They put a very fine tube into your abdomen near your navel. they can see inside and can remove some of the scarring endometriosis causes.

After my laparoscopy, I had 30% of the pain at mid cyle and cyle I used to have.

I don't know what it is that you have BUT I would insist on getting in there straight away and don't expecpt "I don't know" for an answer.  Bleeding like that is NOT Normal!  It has been almost a year since the problem started.  Tell them that the constant bleeding is really worrying you.  I would be terrified.  How bad are your periods?  Are they heavy?  Moderate or light?  I know when I was dealing with irregularity.  Mine would be Light, Heavy last for two to three weeks.  Stop for a day or two start up again.  Eventually I was Diagnosed with PCOS.  Polycyctic Ovairian Syndrom. I would not this is what you have but I would bnot sit in the back seat anymore.  Take control of your medical proplems, insist that you want answers.  And let us know what you find out.

sounds like everything i have had forever! i just went to the doc. recently for all of the same things, except skipping periods. mine would just come and go whenever, and i would be in horrible pain for 2 weeks before, and then the week of. my doc. di a laproscopic procedure and a d&c and found out i have endometriosis. apparently this has been the cause of alot of my pain. some of the questions he asked me were, did i have pain down either of my legs, did i have alot of back pain, and was there alot of clotting and heavy bleeding when i did have my period. maybe you can talk to your doc. about some of these things if you are expereincing any of them. hope everything turns out well.

my doc. said the clotting and the leg pain were cuased by the endo more than likely. i also have an enlarged uterus and cysts on my ovaries, so , go figure where the pain actually comes from! i would definiltey talk to him about all of this though. you are probably becoming anemic from so much blood loss and that would explain feling so tired and worn out all the time. if you want to talk more feel free to email me at ***@**** i may not be much help, but i know it is nice to have someone to talk to who has kind of been through the same things:)
