Spotting 2 weeks before my period

Hi,

I have been off my birthcontrol for 6 months now which was the patch. Me and my boyfriend have been having unprotected sex using the pull out method. On Saturday(28th) I had stomach cramps and then on Sunday(29th) I had sharp pains on one side of my lower pelvis up until monday evening. Now my period is due July 12 but I had a spotted a little bit (dark blood) this past Monday(30th) night.I have never spotted before my period is due not 2 whole weeks maybe 2 days before and I havent seen anything since. I didnt know if this was a sign of implantation bleeding because according to my calculations I should have been ovulating over the weekend. Has anyone experienced this and then found out they were pregnant?

Hi! Ovulation pain is also known as mid-cycle pain and mittelschmerz (German for ‘middle pain’) I also heard you can have spotting as well during ovulation.  I'm kinda having the same problem right now, I've been spotting since yesterday but I'm 7 days past ovulation and I'm not expecting my period before next Tuesday, or Wednesday.. I'm thinking (scratch that...it's more like hoping) it's implantation bleeding..but what you are experiencing is probably ovulation spotting.  Too early for implantation which usually takes place from 6-7 days past ovulation.  Hope this helps

I sometimes bleed a little when I ovulate.  My doc called it "Middenmensch" (I think).  The pain in your side could have been ovulation.  Now I'm going to sound like a mom (I am one);  If you don't want to get pregnant, you should at least use a condom.  You can still get pregnant using the withdrawal method.  Because he has lubricants coming out before you-know-what and there can be swimmers in it, if you know what I mean.  Sorry if that was TMI.
