Swollen, tender feet and itching bite like rash on buttocks

I am 51 years old and started taking 20mgs. of Benicar for high blood pressue about 4 months ago.  About 6 weeks ago I first noticed the itching and bite like places on my buttocks.  I also notice that my feet (mostly left one) is swollen and very tender above the area of my toes.  I did not know if this was a delayed reaction to this medication or if the itching and foot problems were associated with some other thing medically going on right now.  Also, I do not take any other meds and do not add salt or eat foods containing salt.  Thanks for your input.

I wouldnt jump straight to cancer, there many things that can be causing your symptoms, they could be totally unrelated to one another, I would give your dr a call

SILVER STRANDS, DISREGARD THE RESPONSE FROM FABIOS_MOM, THAT PERSON HAS BEEN ON THIS FORUM ANSWERING MANY QUESTIONS RATHER STUPIDLY AS I THINK THAT THEY ARE NOT OLD ENOUGH TO BE ON THIS FORUM.  AGAIN, DON'T LISTEN TO THEIR ADVICE, THEY'RE JUST TRYING TO GET A REACTION-CHILDISH AND INSENSITIVE!

Thanks for the input.  I found out that the problems I had were side effects of taking Benicar.  Ah, if all things in life could be so easy!
