Have the same pain. Have your therapist try ASTYM! It's a scraper that breaks down the fibrous material in your thighs. I do this in addition to stretching, Read about it it really works. I was about to give up!
You have exactly what I have. I felt little bumps and lumps and have extreme thigh pain. I am now going to a physical therapist who is using ASTYM. This is like a scraper that actually breaks up those lumps and bumps which is fibrous material. After one session, and doing the stretching exercises he recommended, I can already tell a difference. He explained because of my knee issues, this fibrous material has been produced to compensate for my knees. My friend did this and she has no more thigh pain and continues to do her stretching exercises! You need to find a therapist that uses ASTYM.
I am 57 and have always been athletic. I have had thigh pain for two years, like a stabbing knife in my right inner thigh. It has gotten really worse. I have to have my left knee replaced, and I told the doctor not until this thigh pain his gone. I have been sent to Physical therapy and it turns out the pain is coming from my adductor muscles on the inside of my thighs. They are sore to touch. The therapy being used is ASTYM. I have been one time and have 11 treatments to go. They take like a scraper down your legs and this loosens the fibrous material that has built up. I first thought the pain had to be nerves or veins, but after my first treatment and stretching exercises, I have hope! Your insurance will pay if ordered by your doctor.
I too have outter thigh and hip pain. I have seen my doctor about it, and have been sent to physical therapy. All they had me doing was strecthing. I can not sleep at night because I sleep on my sides and I hurt all night long. In the morning it is even worst, I can't hardly move. My lower back, hip, thighs and legs are not movable. The pain is so bad I can't even get dress for work. I too feel little bumps on my outter thighs. I have live like this for then 10 years now. Can some one please give any advise on what I can do to relieve the pain. I am begining to think that I have some kind of muscle disorder.
My thigh pain is only at night when i am sleeping. I wake up in severe pain, I have to get up and move around and it goes away. This pain only happens at night and when I rub my thigh it feels like there are litte bumps in there. Its like my thigh tightens up while I am at rest.
Any ideas?
I also have right thigh pain and dizziness,I saw my PCP and said it was stress and anxiety. I think it could be something worse, because it seems to be happening more frequent.
Anyone out there with the same issues?
I am a 50yr old female and I started getting a severe burning feeling in my right thigh. I would only get this when I would stand for any length of time. Then I started getting tingling and burning. Now I'm only getting severe pain. And now I have pain in my thigh and it gets numb when I stand longer than 10 min. Any ideas? Thanks
I really think your problem is your lower back. I also have a lower back problem that causes vibration in my pelvis(like a mobile phone) and pain down one of my legs. I haven't had the vibrations in my pelvis since I started seeing a chiropractor about 4 weeks ago and I'd been experiencing it for months. It really did help with pain as well.
I have pain on my outer thighs which makes it almost unbearable to climb stairs or even step on to a curb. What is causing this and what can I do?

Your thigh pain could very well be arthritis of the hip. Sounds strange, but it does cause pain down the inner and outer thigh. I have had it for years. Have it checked. Good exercises are swimming and cycling if you have hip arthritis.
