Yes-Antibiotics can mess with bc-I would use back up protection if you don't want to chance getting prego
i have always heard and understood that antibiotics can lessen the effectiveness of birth control.
I just looked online and here it was one specialist said:
If you're on an antibiotic and on a birth control pill, the safest thing to do is to use a backup method for extra protection," ****** said.
*****recommends using backup contraception for the remainder of the pack of birth control pills for that month. If a patient switches to a new pack while on the antibiotics, that means the backup contraception should be used for that entire new pack
so i should use a back up protection im on the row of active pills. and will take mt last one saturday so should i be good then u think ive been takin my pill since last friday && that will be a week of takin my pills w/o being on antibiotics.
make sure you use protecting when taking an antibiotic i got pregnant that way. birthcontrol does not work with the use of antibiotics
Don't take any chances, use a back up method.
IM not taking antibitoics anymore ive been off them for a week
