Vaginal strep in a NON pregnant 22 y/o. On doxycycline

I’m a 22 y/o girl who went to the docs today and she said what I have on my perineum looks a lot like a strep infection. It hasn’t effected my vagina and I haven’t had any discharge or pain. She said it does not look like Herepres or typical warts. I am on a course of doxycycline. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar strep infection in the vaginal region. NO I’m not pregnant or anything by the way. I got swabbed and now I have to wait a week. I feel quite confident it’s nothing more sinister as my boyfriend and I have been together for a while and neither of us have slept with anyone else (I hope)

Actually, having group b strep is pretty common in all adults.  :>)  It's problematic when pregnant, if you have other conditions or are older.  Otherwise, it's rarely treated.  I wouldn't worry.
