What could cause my breasts to be getting larger at almost 40?

I will be turning 39 later in the year and am 153 pounds. This is the highest I've ever weighed other than when I was pregnant with my son at age 21 when I went up to 145 from 95 pounds. After pregnancy, I went back down to 110 pounds. Ever since I was in high school, my bra size has been 32B, again, except when I was pregnant when they went up to a 40D. After pregnancy I went back down to a 32C and have been that size since. About 5 years ago, I noticed my breasts would get sore for most of the time between my periods, and go away for about 7 days total during and after my period. Since then I have noticed my breasts have been getting larger and in 5 years, every year, I have gone from a 32C to a 32H at the present time!!!!!!!!! Again my weight hasn't drastically changed. I've only had the one pregnancy and one miscarriage before that. I eat fairly healthy, I drink maybe 7-8 oz of soda a day along with fruit juice or milk(I HATE WATER!!!!) I've had one mammogram about 4 years ago which I never got results for (assuming no news is good news?), my mom has hypothyroidism but my tests have come back negative, I have hypo-tension, arthritis, osteoporosis, and RSD, and I'm not on birth control. I was on the depopravara shot for 6 years in a row after my son was born but stopped about 10 years ago. My doctor FINALLY is getting my hormones tested but I don't think anything will be found. I have been with my SO for the last 6 years but I'm not pregnant, although I wish I was. My doctor says if my hormones come back negative, she can't think of anything else it could be. I have tried to see an endocrinologist, but he said its nothing that concerned his specialty. I'm at a complete loss!! Please help! I can't keep buying specialty bras for the rest of my life!

I'd say your hormone tests will show something, if you have hormone tests on file from before this began to happen.  (In other words, your estrogen levels now might be higher than they were then.)  Of course, if you don't have any earlier tests to provide a baseline, then you won't know.  But it sounds like your breasts are definitely responding to a body signal, and that's most likely hormonal.

Estrogen is stored in fat tissue.  Make sure you're not eating foods with soy, which is estrogen-like.  My sister had this happen.  Not sure why.
