I found this too, not perticually helpful but interesting that the doctor said she has many women who have this! http://www.thedoctorstv.com/videos/a-vibrating-vagina
Sorry ladies I did add a link to my post above but it has been taken off..so if you type in the word "fasciculations" in the search engines it does give you the answer.
Hope this helps you all.
Hello All I also have had this same sensations for the last 24 hours and have googled to find out if I could find any info, I thought I was going to get some pretty weird and wonderful answers ( like I was going mad!!) but I have found this link and it is very helpful reading so I thought I would post it hear and hopefuly it may answer some of your questions?
Good Luck
I have had this buzzing in the same area for at least 10 years now. It would only happen about 2-4 times a year. I never researched it until now because for the last 2-3 days I have the buzzing all over my body. I am getting my blood tested now and should know something in about 10 days. I was deficient in B12 several years ago and began taking high does of it orally. But some people can't absorb it via the stomach and I may need shots. Have you ever had your B12 levels tested? About 35% of people are deficient and don't know it.....
Another curious thing is I went off the pill a month ago after being on it for 15 years.....I'm 36 years old. I just got my period 2 days ago - the first one without being on the pill. So who knows.....I guess it could be a hormonal thing....we'll see!
Good luck!
OMG!! I thought I was a little nuts for even searching for hits on this subject, but thank god I am not alone. Mine started a few days ago, however I don't feel it inside my vagina exactly, more like on the triangle of flesh on my pubic bone. Has anyone who previously experienced this had it stop, or find out why it was happening?
it's not necessarily a cyst.
Anything can put pressure on a nerve, really.
Since it is happening in the vagina, my assumption would more than likely be just spasming muscles.
Vaginal muscles work like all others in the body.
With increase or decrease of exercise, they react.
What have you changed, personally, since, say a few days before this started originally?
Has anyone followed up? If you have please post!! I have the same humming on the left side of my vagina. Started 2 days ago. When standing it comes and goes in 10-15 second intervals. Sitting in bed now and it's gone. I hear a lot of talk about nerves which makes sense - growth of cysts can put pressure on the nerves cant it? Help - please keep me posted. I will keep you all posted too.
I had this problem for over a year. I was beyond anxious over it and it was driving me mad. I finally went to my naturopath and talked to her about it. She had me do a test called The Dutch Test to get a good view of my hormones and other body chemicals. For me it was discovered that I had several imbalances including hormonal. We worked on getting my body back in balance and at healthy levels and this most irritating symptom went away within 10-14 days and has stayed away since. I have no idea if this will work for anyone else, but wanted to share my success story. Good luck ladies - this is one of the most frustrating issues I have ever had.

This post is so old but I do hope you all found relief. I do kegel exercises just to calm it down and make sure to relax my vaginal muscles as much as I can without totally relaxing my bladder lol. Its irritating and kind of scary because I dont know what's wrong with me but it feels better to know I'm not losing my marbles. Good luck in a cure for this and patience.
I realize this is an old post, but I am suffering from this annoyance myself; I call this internal tremors and unfortunately mine is not just in my groin area but everywhere....just at different times. I was diagnosed with a thyroid condition(hypothyroid) any moons ago that was under controlled until January of this year when I had a severe sinus infection and my thyroid went out of wack. It affected all the organs in my body, and I was weak, dizzy, fatigued and short of breath. I had become hyperthyroid and my PCP was overmedicating me and making me feel worse and he wouldn't refer me to an endocrinologist. in April, I'd had enough and paid out of pocket for a private endocrinologist. She immediately took me off all thyroid meds for 10 days and monitored my levels during that time. She also did bloodwork and tested not only my thyroids but a series of vitamin deficiencies as well. She discovered I WAS severely deficient in vitamin b12 as well as vitamin d and I have a type of anemia which requires B12 for the rest of my life . I urge each and every one of you to have your thyroids, b12 and vitamin d checked, because one of these is why you all have that Vibration. When I finally got my thyroids under control, most of the vibrations went away, but when I'm super anxious, sometimes it returns, but not all over and usually for about 5 minutes. Hope this helps.
Wish I had the answer no dr seems to be on this!Had many test no answers ! When I sit it starts makes it hard to drive ,so I cute a round hole in my car seat ,and have made special chairs ,air bed to relive pressers! 2 years now still dealing with it ! If yas find anything that it could be and how to make it go away I'll stop by from time to time.Happy Holidays to all!
I dont have time to read all the posts here, (but have read over 30 of them) but i have had what started out as a UTI in 2-3-16 and because i am low tolerant to medication and food, i get strong side affects from all the meds and food if i eat too much of one thing, or too much water (more then a cup per day) hurts my belly badly becuz of abuse with meth when i was 21 (now 56)(even herbs/vitamins) and the UTI just gets stronger and my vagina vibrates like mad, and so far has not been cured. Soooo to remedy the vibrations cuz i can not kill the stupid thing, i tried Dmannose and it, along with Azo takes the vibrations and other weird sensations away for a time and when the Dmannose wears off the vibrations come back and i take another one and after 20 mins the vibrations are gone. Becuz i am low tolerant, 1/2 of a 750 mg capsule last me 24 hrs before the vibes come back! Thank God/Yh, I at least get some relief for a day/night and only have the vibes for a short time for it works again, but i dont want to be on this drug for ever-and my foot is killing me!!! I can not promise this will work for all of you, but it sure sounds like what i have been dealing with now (and cant kill) for 16 long months. I know it is E. coli cuz that is the only thing Dmannose helps/heals, it makes the E. coli stop sticking to our bodies so when we pee, we flush it out, but becuz of trying so many different meds, the ecoli is now in my left foot/mostly under toe area (it fled from the meds i took and took up house there) and it hurts badly to bend my toes, i can literally feel the ecoli in there and have NO way to get it out!!! :( I found a drug/chemical, not sure exactly what it is. I know its a powder called 'imidazolium oligomers' that if you search it, will find that it KILLS e. coli in 30 seconds, SO my plea is, if anyone of you finds a place or know where i can get this product, PLEASE let me know so i can kill this monster inside me. I will keep you all in my prayers for relief and please let me know who this product (Dmannose) helps, so i know i am not the only one it helps! And if I find the 'imidazolium oligomers' I will certainly let you know! And please have a blessed one!!!
Wow I to thought I was going crazy which I don't have far to go to get there. Today my daughter came to see me she was sitting beside me and asked do you hear that noise mom? I said what noise she said it sounds like a cell phone buzzing I said you can hear that? I told her no I can't hear it but I feel it she said what do you mean and I explained it to her for the past three days it's been doing that down in lady town and I thought I was the only female that has ever experienced this I have been very confused and concerned I wished it would just stop as fast as it started. I don't like it at all....
I don't have an answer but I have the same problem. But I am confused after reading all of these post. Has anyone ever gotten a true diagnosis or explanation to what the cause or what it actually is?
51, no kids, menopaused over ten years ago, just started feeling the faint vibrating down below...I am heading back to hot yoga class...I think we are sitting too much!! I also will take my vitamins after reading 250 answers!
I have been experiencing the exact same thing for many years. I never mentioned it to my MD because I figured he'd think I'm a nut. For the past four days it has been constant, with the "buzzing" lasting about one second and occurring every 15 seconds. It does not hurt, just puzzling!
I'm 19 years old and this has been happening to me for 2-3 months. Not painful just annoying. It is internal (feels like it's inside my vagina) and I can't stand it! It usually only happens when I'm sitting down or laying down in bed. I'm not sexually active ( or ever have been) or use vibrators but I am on birth control (depo). I think this could have something to do with my back, I was hit by a car when I was 11 ( fractured hip) and in high school I think I tested positive for scoliosis once. I can say this happens almost everyday for short intervals at a time. Doesn't last very long but I don't want this to get worse. Overall I am very healthy no health issues, I am at the perfect weight for my height. I have no clue why this is happening to me.
Side note: about a year or two ago something similar happened with my eyelid. Random tingling/twitching which lasted for a few weeks and never came back.
I don't know if I am stressed but I am in college.
I am having the same problem never had that buzzing feeling before last week when I went for a transvaginal ultrasound and had a trainee do it. It was my first time so wasn't sure what to expect but after a while she seemed to be taking way to long in my eyes when I asked her how long again she'd say just a lil bit. It seemed like she didn't know what she was doing when I started getting restless she went for the seasoned tech who came in and went back in with the probe to retake all the pics again after that this buzzing feeling started I felt like a nerve or nerves were damaged this was at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital in Melrose MA.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one doing this mine is also on my lower left side.

I know I'm not alone
I thought I was going
Crazy
I just want it to stop so I can go to sleep!
Mine started two weeks ago after sex with hubby. It is present faintly during day but tonight it has not stopped for close to 2 hours. I have lower back pain and a possible uti, take magnesium and exercise regularly , one child now 12 from natural birth. Have read vitamin B deficiency could be cause too. I am so shocked to find so many others. I too was putting off googling vibration near vagina!, lol.
It's most likely you've contracted an STD. Have you heard of the saying "you'r burning"?
Just thought I'd share my story. This miserable and disturbing situation, started about a week ago for me. I don't know if it will be good for everyone but I got relief from that vibrating buzzing feeling that was making me so uncomfortable having/doing Reflexology. Good luck ladies.
