is it okay if you stop inserting suppository when you have period?

as i had my check up to my ob, she tested me with pap smear as i claimed that i had discharges and foul smelling. she prescrideb me with metronidazole and albothyl, after the 2nd suppository my menstruation had come, would i stop inserting suppository and resume after my menstruation had ended?
