It was an anomaly with my uterus. I apparently have a heart shaped uterus. I have spoken with my Dr., and she told me that she tells everyone to make sure that the family and friends that come with them to the appointment know that there is always a chance that something could be wrong. Either way, it still freaks me out. My first pregnancy was a breeze. I didn't have any problems at all. So this is all new to me.
It sounds like you did not get given enough information at the time of your appointment with your dr. You are still unsure what this means for you and your baby and perhaps you didn't get to ask him any questions because you were in shock when you were told. Are you able to ring your dr and get more information from him/her now that this has started to sink in for you? You should be fully informed of what is going on with you and your baby.
Honey, what kind of anomaly? All that means is that there is something unusual (for example, a "statistical anomaly" is a number that doesn't match the usual run of numbers). So was the doc saying it is an anomaly in your uterus shape or an anomaly in something else about you or an anomaly in your baby?
