a little guidance please.Thanks

Hi!  I'm a 30 years old woman and my question is regarding dizziness with a bit of memory loss.  My wonderings are what could cause such a thing.  Last time that happen was when i was in bed and i got up to go to the bathroom.  On my way there i started to feel dizzy so I was ok let's hurry so I can come back and hopefully it will pass.  When I was done doing my business, it got worse.  So i tried to make it back but the only think that I remember is grabbing the side of the door frame and that was it.  Apparantly, my husban told me that I passed out and hit my head on the floor.  I had called my boss to tell her that I wouldn't be able to make it and don't remember that at all.  When I woke up the next morning, it felt like someone hit me in the back of my head and I had short memory loss for about a month.  When i saw my doctor, he told me it was a bladder attack and the memory loss would come back shortly.

Since then I had another set back that I got extremely dizzy and really thirsty and I had to go to the hospital to be treated.  When I asked the doctor looked at me, she said that I was really dehydrated and my eyes were glazed.  They gave me gravol to stop the dizziness and have my eyes back to normal.  I was fine after the treatment was passed.  But now again, I got the dizziness back and it started with a migraine and switched to the dizziness and feel like I'm really thirsty.  I'm not sure what could cause that.  I'm pretty sure it's more serious than a bladder attack because it keeps coming back without any notice except of the migraine starting and not sure after which directions it will go.

I was wondering if someone could help me diagnose this problem of mine because I wouldn't want to pass out at work as it has been happening pretty much everywhere.  I want to mention as well that I'm healthy and do execise, don't smoke and barely have a drink.  I mostly drink water and juice.

Thanks for your help,

MrsMallais

It sounds like you need to go in for a complete workup, blood work, neurological exam, and all.  It could be "just" migraines, but the passing out sounds almost like severe anemia.  I wouldn't let it go and let the doctor treat symptoms and send you home.  I would ask for enough testing that there is a definite diagnosis.  Good luck.
