Okay, well.  That is typically a big no no in the medical world.  I would suspect that symptoms will resurface in the near future and if so, see your doctor.  Lots of luck to you!!

Oh, please do not douche.  it will compound your problems.  Have her google it or call the drs. office as they will tell her the same thing.  But I AM very glad you are going to the doctor next week.  Lots of luck dear!!

Hi there and welcome.  Well, I am glad you are on birth control!  Awesome that you are preventing unwanted pregnancy.

What may have been passed to you is bacterial vaginosis.  A partner can pass this and often when a woman has a hard to treat infection, they give medication to both the female and male to treat it so it isn't passed back and forth.  It isn't a sexually transmitted disease per se but IS transmitted sexually (confusing I know).  You need to see a doctor and he will prescribe medication for it.  At that time, he'll double check to make sure it isn't a yeast infection which you can treat over the counter or through a systemic pill the doctor prescribes.  But you'll know either way when you see the doctor.

Also, just to double check---  chlamydia needs to be treated for a period of time and then there needs to be a series of checks to make sure it hasn't come back.  Usually three times.  It can be negative in a test and then positive in the next test, so make sure you've followed through with the whole process of getting rid of it.

Good advice above to always always use a condom.  You only have one body, careful who you give it to.  good luck dear

For one always always use a condom!!!! I can not stress that enough!! Sex is just as good with one then without one so use one and protect the both of you. It will prevent pregnancies and STDs/STIs. Don't let him put his penis in your vagina without a condom on!
