I, too, over the last two years have had unrelenting pelvic pressure, freq urination but not painful urination, severe bloating and repeated negative urinalysis. I've endured two cystoscopies that were negative for interstitial cystitis (I.C.) and two CT scans which showed nothing. Abd US showed a small, insignificant ovarian cyst. As a 49 yo menopausal female, I thought I was losing my mind and questioned whether or not my physicians felt the same way. After believing that my bladder was not the issue I turned to my GYN who was not impressed with my symptoms and merely gave me the "I don't know look." Meantime, I quickly learned that I felt better on antibiotics and became very resourceful obtaining what I needed to stave off the pain and other symptoms. I had periods of 1-2 weeks that were normal. I switched GYN physicians and agreed to have an exploratory laproscopy...WELL, the results were surprising....I had a partially obstructed appendix causing a persistent mild infection. Due to the atypicaly location of my appendix (near the bladder) I had constant bladder pressure from the inflammation caused by the appendix. Incidentally, I had small uterine fibroids, adenomysis, and cystic ovaries...all of which were not causitive but were removed. As I heal from the surgical procedure, my expectation is to feel better than I have for years. ***please have your physicians consider a chronic appendicitis!!!! God Bless
