bleeding while sleeping

Anybody else have this? When I am in day 1 of my period I fill my supper pad in a few hours at night. I jolt out of sleep and have to leap out of bed to change it. This happens 3 times during the the first night. Needless to say it makes for a restless night.

I've always had heavy menstrual cycles. I used to double up on the pads and wear a tampon. Awakening 2-3 times a night isn't too uncommon. I'm in my 40s and still wake up at least 1-2 times during my cycle. If you're worried sleep with a towel underneath you. If it's creating problems, go to your primary care physician. Also you might consider birth control.

Might have to try birth control to regulate. My periods were actually wonderful when I was on birth control. Boy do I miss the regularity :-\

the first full night of your period is generally a "heavy flow" time. Add that to the fact that you are relying on a pad for 8+ hours. Sounds pretty normal to me. However, if it is a concern, please seek advice from your doctor.
