can anti-anxiety meds cause delayed periods

i have always had regular periods and nothing in my diet has changed. i recently have been taking the prescription lorezipan for worry, anxiety and i was wondering if taking that could effect my period? thats the only thing i can think of that is any different. i am about 5 days late and not pregnant.
anyone have any suggestions????

ive had my period for around 2.5 years and now it hasnt come the time its suppose to and i have NOT been sexually active.what does this mean?

Hi all,I am getting irregular periods.i get periods for 15 to 20 days  delayed.I am not pregnant.What will be the reason?please send comment.

It is not uncommon, even if your periods have previously been regular, to have one that is delayed for one reason or another (and sometimes for no reason).  If you are not pregnant (and I'm presuming you are not sexually active) you should ask your doctor if you don't get your period within the next week or so.  

A brief literature search reveals nothing about Lorazepam use and missed menses.  If it is a side effect at all, it is very uncommon or it would be listed with the other known, more common side effects.

Good luck to you, and as always, it is better to consult your doctor about health problems if you are worried, than to rely on medical advice from complete strangers on the internet.  You'll rest easier and can have more faith in the answers.

thank you for responding, i appreciate it. each tablet is 0.5 ml and i usually take 2 when im feeling worried, anxious. its not everyday but probably 3/7 times a week. i have been taking more than usual and thought that perhaps that could be the reason why im late? plus ive been nervous about not getting my period so that could be the reason too? again, thanks for responding.
