can you get a yeast infe from taking clindamycin?

I've taken Clindamycin and fluconazole to kill a yeast infection. But now my doctor tells me I might possibly get it back because antibiotics can cause yeast infections. I'm not even sure...

Fluconazole does work on yeast infections as it is an antifungal.  Clindamycin is different and is an antibiotic. It fights bacteria, not yeast or fungus.  Clindamycin can create a situation in which you get a yeast infection.  It's not used to treat a yeast infection but fluconazole is.

Oh okay, that explains why I still had some slight itching then. Thank you!
