Hi,
If you never got headaches before and only started getting them after the Depo Injection then it is probably the most likely cause. There are side effects of birth control shots, although the majority are not serious. They include: nausea, weight gain, lighter periods, mood changes, and headaches often severe. The body take about three months to adjust to the new contraceptive. Hence you can deal with headaches with the help of painkillers and see if they help. Consult your Doctor.
The answer is based on information provided. Exact advice is not possible without a proper examination and investigations. You are requested to consult your Doctor. Take care and keep us posted.

Hello,
These can be the side effects of the depo shots but if you did not check your pregnancy status before getting the depo shot and if there is a history of any unprotected intercourse then chances of pregnancy are there. Most home pregnancy tests that check urine beta-HCG are sensitive to 20-25 mIU/ml of HCG. The test can be positive anywhere from about 2-3 days prior to a missed menses to 4-5 days after, but usually it should be done 7-10 days past your missed period.

Otherwise you can get a serum HCG also done which is more specific than urine pregnancy test.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
