clindamycin for bacteria in the throat

Can clindamycin kill the bacteria in the back of my throat. I had the same thing happened to me before, I had bacteria on my tonsils and in the back of my throat and I used amoxicillin but it only killed the bacteria on my tonsils. Then from not treating the bacteria in the back of my throat caused my tonsils down my throat to swell so I was prescribed prednisone. It cured. But this time the doctor gave me Clindamycin and the bacteria is going away in the tonsils but not in the back of the throat yet. So I made an appointment next week just in case it is still there and I would have to take prednisone all over again?

So, how do you know you have bacteria in the back of your throat and it isn't going away?  You can see it?

I see white stuff behind my tonsils. I'm not sure if it's bacteria or food particles?

Hopefully not.  Prednisone, by the way, is a steroid.  It reduces the inflammation and selling and that's why they gave it to you.  It's not an antibiotic that works on bacteria or anything.  Take your current medication as directed.  Why do they think you are getting so many sore throats that are not viral?

Hmm I'm not so sure. I've been getting bacteria in my throat from my fan. And for some reason the antibiotics  they give me only cures a portion of it. I'm afraid this will do the same thing. It makes sense not to take the prednisone if there's no swelling. I guess once the clindamycin finishes then I guess I'll see what they'll prescribe me with. Maybe more antibiotics?
