constipation and lower right side pains

I have had irregular bowels for about six months now. I have increased my fiber intake as well as my physical activity and even tried all sorts of stimulants, powders and pills in attempt to correct this problem of only being able to bowel once every 5-6 days. So now I am taking two tablespoons of "Polyethylene Glycol" dissolved in water, daily. This powder has helped my bowels to be more regular (now once every 2-3 days), but I still don't feel like it is constant enough. And just tonight before dinner I started feeling intense pain on the lower right side of my body, right below my bellybutton but much closer to my hip bone. Also, when I am resting I feel fine, but then when I move around in any manner the pain comes back. And I do not remember twisting it in any weird way and my period isn't going to come for another two weeks or so. Do you know if this pain is related to my ongoing constipation, my period, or is it something else?

Could be your appendix or an ovarian problem (cyst or torsion).  I'd go see the doctor.

It could be the appendix or an ovarian cyst. Have you been running a fever? Did the pain start in the navel region? These things are possible indicators of an appendix issue. You should see your doctor and be very specific and make notes of how long, what type of pain(sharp, dull, throbbing), and if the pain radiates else where.
