delayed period and brownish discharge

Hey, my period has been delayed by 2 days now its now the third day I had a brown discharge that smelt like my period (sorry tmi) this morning it stopped. I don't think I'm pregnant even though I did have sex around ovulation time I did use protection.. should I be seeing my period soon or should I still test? I have normal pms symptoms like sore breasts.

Hi there and welcome.  Well, it is not uncommon to have a bit of brown discharge (old blood) right before you start your flow.  I have this sometimes about a day and a half before the full period starts.  Why don't you give it a couple of days to see if your period shows up and if not, then take a test.  Hopefully aunt flow is on the way!!  Remember to use protection when having intercourse!  good luck
