diarrhea and nausea

I am19 years old and have been on ortho-tricyclene low since january, and i have never missed a pill.  My last period started on may 3, but it was a little bit lighter than normal, and maybe a day or two shorter.  On May 4 i got diarrhea, and it didnt go away for two weeks, and even still i have it every couple of days.  i am worried that i might be pregnant because i have also had some nausea every day, but i think it might be from lack of eating, as my appetite has decreased.  i do not have sore or tender breasts, and i have been a little constipated, but  thats only if i have taken an immodium for the diarrhea, and the  constipation usually lasts for about 2 to 3 days.  i have noticed weird muscle spasms as well, but those are all over, in my leg,my butt, my lower abdomen, my arm.  My next period isnt due until the 31st, but i am thinking about taking a hpt just for the peace of mind.  I forgot to mention that i am sexually active,  but i do notknowexactly whichdaysi have had intercourse.  During the diarrhea i went to the doctor and was told  i just had the flu, and they did a urinetest andtoldme that i had white blood cells in ti, and ablood test, which i was  told came backperfectly  normal.  I have also been under a lot of stress lately,i'm up for a promotion at work and  have been stressed about family life as well.

Hi rootbeer...well the possibility of you getting pregnant while on the pill are very slim but not impossible..the issue here is that you had diarhea which makes the pill not work like it should...here's a paragraph from a website online
"If you have vomiting or diarrhea, you may not be absorbing the pill and you should use a back-up method of birth control for up to one month while you keep taking your pills on schedule." from http://www.gannett.cornell.edu/healthAtoZ/healthAdvice/birthcontrolpill.html
try taking a HPT...in your case there's more possibility you might be pregnant...good luck! hope my answer helped a bit =)

ok, i just took an hpt, e.p.t. and it came back negative.  i dont want to be pregnant, so thats good.  i am just really sick of the diarrhea and nausea.  And actually, lately its been really hard for me to sleep too, so i dont know whats going on.  i've also had menstrual cramps, and i'm suppossed to start my period next wednesday, so i made sure to buy the two pack of tests so i can  test again if i miss my period.
