ectopic pregnancy

I had an ectopic pregnancy and was treated with metotrexate. My b-hcg was 3000 (when treated) and is now 2.5. I got a normal period and my U.S. is good (no pregnancy left). When can I try again to get pregnant?

I was treated with methotrexate as well. I waited 3 cycles before trying again. I became pregnant in the second month trying. I am currently 12 weeks. I would advise waiting at least 2-3 cycles. This drug is powerful and you want it to be out of your body before conceiving. Best of luck!

I agree with Shishee...wait at least a few months before trying again.

if you only had to have 1 shot you will want to wait 2-3 cycles of having a normal period if you had 2 or more shots you will want to wait a little longer.  i have had 3 ectopic pregnancys and first one with the metho i had to have 2 rounds of it so i waited 6 months to be safe! got pregnant the first month & had a healthy baby boy. when ttc #2 had another ectopic with metho & is now waiting again.  i know first hand the waiting is the worst but its all worth it to have a healthy baby! dont rush it and let me know if you have any questions!! good luck
