I am four years out from a c section. About one year after, I noticed a bump on the left side of my scar, maybe the size of a marble. It was a bit painful and I saw a surgeon. He says he couldn't tell, maybe just a tiny hernia and I should come back if it bothered me again.(the pain comes and goes) Skip forward 3 years and it's egg sized, hurts more often, hurts worse. I was sent to a different surgeon who says it is scar tissue, and that's what happens when you have a C section, deal with it, and pushed me out the door. My primary says he couldn't help. I mentioned it to my Gyn, who was much more helpful, but isn't sure what it is. He says it could be a scar, hernia, or endometrioma. Maybe even a hernia behind scar tissue. Ugh. Either way he said he will take it out and we'll just see what it us when we get in there. I can't tell if it's related to my cycle bc I have mirena, all I can say is it hurts every couple weeks or so fur a few days to a week. It is a sharp, pinching/stabbing pain right at the bump, and I have a lot of dull aching and tight feeling in my pelvis.I've never had pain like this where NOTHING relieves it! What's your guess? Also, any surgical in put? I'm nervous about the pain level and recovery time.
