forgot about my tampon?>

hi i just finished my menstrual cycle on tuesday and this morning i went to the washroom and as i wiped my self a piece of plastic hard as tape came out. im very scared now for i do not know what that could be, im thinking since i use those ob tampons with no applicator its probably a piece of it that got stuck and i didnt see it while inserted. also i have a bit of on odour so im thinking my tampon is still up inside  me. ive tried everything to see if i can find it but i cant so im very scared and worried. if its inside me what will happen to me? what should i do? please help me thanx

You mean it's the cello wrapper of the o.b.?  That is certainly possible, and it does not necessarily mean the o.b. itself is still in your body.  But you could hop over to your doctor for a lost-tampon check.  It happens a lot, and your doc will not be alarmed or puzzled if you tell him or her that this is your problem.  It would be worse to leave it in, they do get stinky (like old meat) and can cause an infection.

Are you sure it was plastic?  If it has come out (whatever it is) you will be fine, your body is flushing it out.
