found out have a cysts on right ovary in jan

I found out i have a small cysts on my right ovary in jan 07. Since then my cramping during my periods have gotten worse and worse. Im to a point to where it feels like i am in labor. I was on birth control but stopped taking them when i found out i had a cyst. My gyn just says to go back on birth control pills and it will reduce your cramps. I believe my cyst came from being on the birth control pill to begin with.I think i could have endometriosis because along with my cramps i am swollen , bloated naseous all the time. Some body help!!!

I also had a cyst on my right ovary, which caused a great deal of pain especially in rt. groin area.had ct scan within a month the cyst disappeared.......... Now I have had major bleeding and uterine lining is thick so dr. wants me to see if I have polyps.......... If your dr. told you to take the pill I would do that, Also my dr. said I had IBS, had extreme cramps and bloating.maybe the dr. could check you for that.Hope this helps....feel better soon.Diane

I would go back on the pill.  The cysts should fade after a while.  It's the most commonly prescribed method of getting rid of ovarian cysts.  If nothing changes in terms of pain, go in and see him again.  The cysts could be gone, and something else might be happening.
