hot flashes that cause pain

I have been experiencing hot flashes for the last coulple of years.  During the day they are normal but at night, when I am laying down, the hot flashes cause pain throughout my body sort of like an electrical current running through me.  No matter how I lay it happens that way.  The pain is very uncomfortable and somehow seems to run through my body like my veins and intensifies at places like my palms/wrist.  Getting up solves the problem but I was wondering if this is related anyway to my circulation or heart.

Thank you,
c

I started going through the change at 48.  Went on HRT at 49 and stayed for 10 years.  I am now 63 and still get hot flashes and night sweats and them I  could take but the stomach cramps are truly awful.  They actually make me sick and only last a minute or so then comes the hot flash.  My doctor did say that not all women have the same experiences.  Glad to hear I am not alone.

You need to see your Dr. That dosen't sound like a normal hot flash! Good luck.

I don't have them myself , but my mother in law does. She get's dizzy and really sick to her stomach. Her skin turns bright red then u see all the blood wash out of her face and turn to pale white. He doctor told her the "change" affects women in different ways. So, not to worry and exercise. I would go see about it though. Wish u luck.
