Well my doc has not done a lap on me yet, was what we were going to do  but its 2000 and she said she feels endo  when she does my pelvic exams, so i said lets just cut out the middle man. she also said my cervics is tilted so my husband is probably hitting it when we have sex so she wants to remove it also, but i have been reading all the posts here were almost everyone says to keep the cervix, so now im totally confused, im scared that if they remove everything except my ovaries they will eventually fail,  and thus get hormone shots and go into premature menopause, why keep the cervix ? also people said your stuff shifts when there nothing in there, im so ready to be pain free with my husband but, i also dont want to feel older than i am, due to my women stuff being gone,  im ALL EARS for any comment please. thanks Emily

I am also 25 yrs old with 2 children. I just had a complete hys a month ago due to endo. I have had 4 previous laparoscopies and would be symptom free for a few months and then it would return. Have you ever had a lap?  Have you talked about the depo shot with your dr? I know your scared and worried about the "what if's" but just concentrate on the thought of being pain free.

I had a partial done 8 months ago.  I am 29 and two children.  Let me tell you it was the best thing I ever did.  I still have a lite period which you know about because if you keep your cervix you will still have some spotting.  You would be surprised by the number of ladies who don't realize this.  I actually just had my cervix froze a few weeks ago to stop the rest of my period.  It worked finally.  When they take out your uterus they may leave some of the cells ontop of your cervix because they don't want to damage your cervix.
Anyways how does your doc know that you have endrometriosis?  Did you have the needle test done where they put a needle through your stomach to see if there are cells growing on the ouside of your uterus?  Just wondering.
It will help though, but you might still have issues later on because if they don't get all the cells the can come back.
