What should I expect from septate hymen surgery?

I think that I have a septate hymen, and I am getting married in a few months and I am going to the doctor next week to discuss ways we could remove it. The only catch is that I have very very very bag anxiety when it comes to needles/IV's, so I was wondering, is there a way that it could be removed, either in surgery or in an office procedure, where I wouldn't have to get an IV or local anesthesia?
