why is my period not stopping?

ok so i started my period on 29th August and 2day is 15th september so its been on for a few weeks and its starting to worry me and no i am not on birth control or anything like and my period is not heavy its light/medium it stops at night and in the morning and it starts in the afternoon im just thinking could my period be making up for the time it missed like i don't get my period every month i get it every 2/3months which i read online it is normal 4 that 2 happen cos your period be's irregular the first few years and please don't say go to the doctor because i wont this is like really embarrassing especially for me because i have really low self esteem and no i haven't told my mum cos this is really embarrassing i do not know what to do should i just wait till it stops? btw im 14years old if I eat more iron and veg's will that help?

No I haven't had sex + I remember now that it once stopped then started again so I think I had 2 periods in 1 month :s is that normal?

Iron and veggies won't help.  I wouldn't take iron unless directed by a doctor anyway.  Eating veggies is always good, though.  I know you say this is embarrassing for you, but honey, it's normal for things like this to happen.  It's not normal for them to KEEP happening though, so they need to be checked out by your doctor.  Some blood tests would probably be performed.  At your age, there's little to make me think they would go for anything more unless you've had sex.  It's normal for periods to be irregular the first few years, but you still shouldn't bleed past the normal time of 2-7 days.  Tell your mom and go to the doctor.  She's heard worse.  I can promise you that.
