large painful bump near vagina
I have recently developed a large bump/lump near my vaginal opening, but it is not located on the vaginal lips. it has been there for 2-3 days, has grown in size, and it has become pretty painful. The bump is somewhat hard and appears to be under the skin, not a pimple like form with a whitehead. although when it was smaller and not painful i squeezed it and some white, puss like fluid came out. There was another bump on the other side in the same place but it was much smaller, not painful, and went away within a day. I do not believe it is an STD of any kind because it does not resemble any and i have recently been tested for all STDs after my new boyfriend and they all came back negative. i don't have any kind of abnormal discharge. could this be an irritation of some kind, or i was reading about bartholin cysts, but the lump is not located on the vaginal lips. I'm pretty worried and i know i need to make an appointment with my docter, but could you give me any help with this problem.
I don't know. I wish I could help you. Any bumps on the vaginal area should be checked by a doctor. You should have it biopsied for hpv and get a blood test for herpes. It sounds like a boil though. The only reason why I'm hesitant, is b/c you said another one appeared. It really doesn't sound like herpes, but maybe a wart.
When you say it isn't on the lips - where is it? If there was no discharge, I would have suggested a cyst, but the discharge is concerning. As well, do you know that you were tested for ALL stds? Maybe you were only tested for specific ones.
You weren't very specific of where the bumps are.... it be an ingrown hair. do you shave....is it in the area where your hair grows? Because some ingrown hair are hard and underneath the skin and are very painful and puss filled. I have had some where the bump disappears because the hair was finally able to break the skins surface and I have had others that filled with puss and got bigger and painful.

I just had one of those lumps recently in the same location. It was to the side of the vagina. It got large and hurt a lot. Had it for days and finally one day after a hot bath, I tried squeezing it and it finally drained. It was filled with blood and a little puss. Now it has gone away.
I have the same problem as bradybunch. This is my first time noticing and it started this Sunday afternoon. On both sides but no discharge. it is painful, itchy and hard and it is getting bigger and moves.

This may be a subaceous cyst. These are small cysts just under the skin and can get infected which causes them to be painful and have a discharge. They can happen anywhere in the body and are common in the vagina. They can be caused by skin trauma or happen for no reason. I would suggest you see your doctor if you think it is infected.

I also have a painful lump i am only young & it is not where i shave, it is on the inner vaginal lip. im very concerned but i have only ever had sex with one person who was a virgin before we met. I have had the painful lump in the same place but afta soaking it, it went away but has now reappeared i have tried soaking it again but nothing has happened this time. Any ideas?
I have also two bumps. and near my anus, it is swollen on both sides. I was on my period and it has been aoround 90 degrees here. Do you think its the heat and that I was wearing a pad that caused moisture and bacteria to form these bumps?
I have a similar problem. Every once and a while i get a little bump on my outer labia. Hurts when i touch it, and reminds me of an under the skin zit. I havent had sex for a long time and i get tested regularly. No unusual discharge. Is it possible to get a pimple in that area? Or should i make an appointment to see a gyno?
If you shave your pubic area, it is probably an ingrown hair. If you don't shave, it could still be an ingrown that was aggravated when you popped it. Take a warm bath and it will pop and drain. Don't continue to mess with it though. If it gets worse or doesn't get any better, you may have to go to the doctor.

I recently developed a bump near my vaniga. it is not on the lips or anything, but right on the side. i had one before, but it didn't hurt and went away all on itself. this one grew in size within a day though, and today it got painful to sit and stand still. it feels like it's throbbing and i don't know what it can be. i don't have any discharge or redness. it just feels like a lump right under my skin on the right side. it really hurts when i touch it, so i haven't even attempted having sex because of it. i have had it for about 3 days and it doesn't seem to go away. anything that might help?
I had a real painful vaginal bump a few months back. I think it was an ingrown hair that became infected. I made a home remedy by mixing baking soda and warm water into a paste. I applied this to the bump and placed a warm wash cloth over the area. After 20 minutes I removed the cloth and the bump had drained. The baking soda mixture had drawn the puss and infection out of the area and I had immediate pain relief.
It sounds like you might have an STI. You described yourself in way that made you appear naive about sex, and I'm, guessing the person you had sex with was also naive. This is a really bad combination for sex. You really should be informed before you make any decision, specfically so situations like this don't come up as often.......That being said, you need to see a OB-GYN ASAP. Mostly because it can't hurt to know what is or isn't going on. Remember that, even though you were both virgins (or lied) virgins can still get STIs from sexual contact that doesn't involve penetration. One that specifically comes to mind (although, not necessarily based on the symptoms you described...) is HERPES. Herpes is passed through skin-to-skin contact. This means that, if a person has an open herpes sore on their mouth, and they kiss you, or perform oral sex, then you are at risk for contracting herpes. Voila, virgins with STIs. Beleive me, you need to see a doctor, there is no getting around it. Every woman should be seeing a doctor regularly (as in, every year) to get a PAP smear done after becoming sexually active (even once!!!!) or after she turns 18, whichever comes first. This is not only to ensure that you do not have an STI, it is to ensure that you also have a healthy vagina and cervix and that you are not showing any signs of cancer. This is especially inportant since cervical cancer needlessly kills hundreds a year. SCARY FACT: 85% of all adults will have an HPV (Human papilloma virus, look it up if you don't) which cause both warts and cervical cancer in women. EVEN SCARIER: the kind that causes warts is not necessarily the kind that causes cancer. That means, that, even though you think you're ok, an STI that you got your first sexual experience, could be KILLING you. I cannot stress enough how important it is to be informed, and make decisions based on knowledge. IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO STAY SAFE!!!!!!!!!

I have very recently found a lump under the skin right on my bikini line. It isn't painful but slightly red. i am quite young and my over reaction was that its cancer. I have recently waxed my bikini line myself so would it be likely it is an ingrown hair that has caused a slight infection?
It is roughly the size of a large pea, i have tried to squeeze it too see whether it reacts the same as a spot would and a small amount of blood and discharge came out. Does anyone think its worth just soaking it and seeing if more discharge is released?? Can cancerous lumps release discharge? thank you

it is herpes...it is hpv what 98 percent of you explained is herpes and dooooooooo notttttttttt popppppppppp themmmmmmmm they do spread. they also can be treated but are a lifetime disease meaning you will have them for the rest of your lives and risk infecting anyone you are with. they do go away but much like warts it remains in your system forever and you will have reoccurences every now and then. do not be daft and ignore it. there is a pill out there you will have to keep taking in order to keep reoccurences to a minimum and please do not avoid this topic.
believe it or not.. sometimes doctors don't test you for everything.. and it's sad. Trust me.. I once had a pap smear which supposedly came back negative. So okay.. Im thinking it was negative and I was clean. I went back several months later.. to find out that I was not even tested for chlamydia.. and .. I had it. Now I have problems with my fallopian tubes.. When you get tested for STD's..make sure you tell the gyno.. you want to be tested for everything.. and get a blood test done.
i have had this before but its nothing trust me , dont get worried because it will go away in the end. like the rest say take a warm bath and then drain the puss out. and if the puss doesnt drain out then go see a doctor >.<

I do have HPV and have the same problem as the rest of you. A bump, white puss/liquid and have called my GYNO and it is part of it. Please see your doctor ASAP. I have do have cyts and am dieing from it. I have had it for over 3 years now. I have found out I am preganant and now can not carry my child. Hi , I have a large red bump of the lips of my vagina (more up round the pee whole than the vagina)it doesnt have any puss or anything just like a bruise kind of thing. I have never had sex before so it couldn't be an STD could it ? It is painful when i press on it.
I have a question and a major concern. For some reason I keep getting these lumps/boils on the top of my private area and it constantly itches in certain places but not near the area where the lump is. I had it once before I started shaving down there but after the first few times after shaving It gets really itchy for a really long time until the hair starts growing back. But i have not shaved there for a while and its a few boils/lumps there now and i have no clue on what it could be and it also gets painful when it gets close enough to wanting to bust.
