Conception inquiry

My husband and I have been married five years and kinda decided one day, spur of the moment, that we were going to go ahead and try for a baby. Well, we had thought about it before and decided when the time was right we would try. So, the day we tryed just happened to be exactly 14 days after my first day of my period. We didn't plan this to happen or anything, and it was also right as we woke up in the morning before either of us got out of bed. I didnt consider it happening so soon, i was prepared to try for a few months. You know what they say,"if you are trying to get pregnant it takes awhile, and if you are trying not to be it happens fast!". I have been researching on the net about this and have found that the 14th or 15th day would be my most fertile days and those days are the days we tried. So im guessing my chances are pretty good. What do you guys think? Are there any signs I should be looking for now? And should i wait until the first of next month(which is normally when i start) to see if i miss my period before i get a prego test?
