middle aged women with constant period

I am 44 years old, slightly over weight and have had my period constant for the past 4 months.  Is this a sign of menopause starting?

Hi there.  No, I don't think this is related to menopause.  A typical pattern of menopause is heavier periods still on time but for shorter duration of days and eventually petering out.

It sounds more like it could be fibroids or a hormonal issue.  If you are bleeding excessively, please see your doctor.  You need to determine exactly why and seek treatment.  You should also  have your iron checked.

Also, 44 is early to be starting menopause.  :>)  good luck

Someone I knew had something similar to that and she had to have a hysterectomy, sorry not to scare you. I'm not anywhere near an expert on this topic but I recommend that you go to a doctor and or a gynecologist and see what they think is going on. Hope this helps :)
