multiple new symptoms, can't take much more of this

In 2005 i had a partial hyst due to cervical cancer, i had already had 4 kids so i was ok with it. 2 years after that i had horid pain in my lower right abdomen, and in my back. after 4 surgeries and nothing working they diagnosed me with pcos. the last almost 3 months though it has been horid, the pain is non stop, normally it comes and goes for about 8 days but i am about to hit 3 months now. i am also serverly nautios (sp?) and everytime i eat i get sick to my stomach.  the pain jumps like a knife stabbing me in my lower right abdomen thru my back and up into between my shoulderblades. I am sick to my stomach when i wake up and throu out the day as well.  I know i have been very short tempered and moody, even my husband has mentioned why are you so moody lately? If i push on my stomach where it hurts it is harder than the rest of my stomach and it feels like something moves, (gas or intestines?? I really don't know)  Has anyone had symptoms like these or have any idea what could be going on? I appreciate your help more than i can express.

Hello, I definitely understand that you don't want an unnecessary surgery, I don't blame you.  I'm heading to surgery number 32 on 12-6 myself but unfortunately all mine have been necessary.  Cysts can cause some unusual symptoms.  Mostly pain and nausea,  the pain can radiate to the back and shoulder blades.  The pain can causes your stress/anxiety/depression/mood problems.  The cyst that form rupture and release infection in the abdominal cavity causing the nausea.  The pain causes nausea, etc.  It's a vicious cycle.

The majority of my surgeries have been female problem related and I felt a million times better after it was all gone.  I wondered why the heck I'd went through all I did and not had it removed sooner.  LOL then everything else started falling apart, falling out, falling off, or falling down etc., so it had to be surgically removed or repaired too.   Man it bites getting OLD LOL.

It is wise of you to research every avenue available and make surgery your last choice. Good Luck and Keep Us Posted on your findings Please.  God Bless.

With my complete I've never needed hormones.  After 3 yrs the docs were saying you need to be on hormones, I started taking them and within a year had to have a tumor removed from my breast because of them.  Then they were like OHHH you got 2 stop taking hormones LOL.   I thought well crap I would not have been on them 2 start with nor had the breast problem had they not insisted.  I take nothing again now and do fine, actually I had more hot flashes etc on the hormones than off them.  I being a RN know that most people are not as lucky. I Hope This Helps Good Luck Hun.

i only have one ovary left everything else is gone and i have seen 4 gyn's and none of them want to take the ovary out. They say i am to high risk for cancer again and the hormones can increase your risk. I am going to start doing research on having it removed. My youngest is 6 now so i dont have any recent pregnancies though.  i get to play the doctor mambo some more which is what i call it when they all refer you to someone else and then ask for some money for the co pay. grrr

I would see a good gyn and get this matter cleared up and taken care of as soon as possible.

Hello with pcos you probably have multiple undiagnosed cysts on your ovaries causing all your symptoms. The changes in hormones from your resent pregnancy can cause the accelerated growth of the cysts sometimes.  Also it is possible that you have other issues as well such as endometreosis etc. You need to talk with your OB/GYN  about the excessive amount of pain, discomfort, and nausea you are experiencing, and have some more testing done to determine the exact cause.  There is medication they can give you to help with the symptoms and the cysts but it may be possible that if they don't work that the removal of your ovaries may be your only alternative.

I too had a partial then many years later a complete and have done well. The decreased hormones helped almost immediately with eliminating my pain, and nausea. Hopefully if you do have to have this done to eliminate the pain, it will do the same for you.    I hope this helps.

You say you had a partial hysterectomy, wouldn't a complete  hysterectomy be the cure?
