Thanks fo readin my post.  Yes my cardiologist is mail.  He really does listen to me, but because I have a hard time telling if Im having a heart attack or a panic attack, he thinks that the anxiety is making it worse, says that I will know whaich is whach, I did before with really vauge symptoms.  Im just so confused on the symptoms.  He said my symptoms would be worse then the first time, more like traditional symptoms.  But had I not insisted the first time, I wouldnt be here.  Anyway.  Thanks so much!  Im so glad I found this forum, has helped alot already

Hi No I don't think you can suffer from spinal nerve damage after after open heart surgery. If you are talking about numbness and tingling in your hands and feet or pain in these extremities you may not be getting enough blood circulation.Since you have had one heart attack your heart slows down it's pumping, you should see your cardiologist. If you feel your cardiologist is not doing a good job of treating you, find a different one that will listen to you.Is your cardiologist male or female? If it is male doctor maybe you would be more comfortable with a female cardiologist.A woman and a mans heart attack sypmtoms are completely different.I will tell you the symptoms of when you should take your Nitroglycerin.Chest pain that does not go away with rest, you can not take in a deep breath with out your chest hurting. You can all so look on the internet for angina symptoms.Try to talk to your cardiologist again if he or she does not take you serious tell them you are going to find a new cardiologist.Take Care TNT406.

Pookie,
I had a quaddruple bypass in 2008 and have nerve damage in my hands, fingers, left leg and left foot. I suppose and the Doctor's have told me it is from the surgery. It was supposed to go away, but it hasn't.
I used to play music, but now that has been taken away from me because the fingers on my left hand have curved in like a claw and they will not bend all the way, and will not straighten either.
Take care everyone, and tell the doctor everything, If I hadn't continued to complain, I would be dead.
