Contraception

I'm not sure if I am posting this question in the right forum, but couldn't see any other one that would be right. I would appreciate any help on the matter or to be redirected to the correct place!
I've been taking the birth control pill Alesse 28. For a couple of months now my period has been starting on the 14th day through the pack when I still have 7 more pink pills to take. I end up having my period for 2 weeks. Is there anything that I can do to change this? I was under the impression that my period shouldn't start until the 21st day through the pack.

I think you need a pill with more estrogen since I had that problem before too and I talked to my doctor and switched to Yasmin and have been fine so far
