Bacterial Vaginosis

I've been having problems with my body since the end of June. I was first diagnosed with a yeast infection.. took medication and it wouldnt go away. Then two weeks ago I went and got a pap smear and was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis. I've taken my 7 day antibiotics and nothing has cleared up.. I think it has gotten worse. I've been having cramps, frequent urination, cloudy dark yellow urine. Why is it taking me this long to get better? What else do I have to do? These problems have been going on for two months and are very annoying... I am not sexually active by the way.

Have they tested you for a UTI? Usually antibiotics will continue to work in your body a few days after you take the last pill. Depending on the type of antibiotic you could have gotten yet another yeast infection or BV from the antibiotic. Have you tried eating plain yogurt? You can also do a vinegar and water douche at home - you can find many ways of doing this by googling it. If the symptoms persists you should go back to your doctor. If they put you on another antibiotic you should take a probiotic with it, there are special probiotics for the vaginal area. I hope this helps.
