painful sex - why?

I'm worried that I have contracted STDs 9 weeks ago. Im mostly concerned about Genital Herpes. I had a bloodtest done on the 6th week - the result came back negative. Perhaps it was too early for the antibody to be detected. Anyways Im repeating the test again.

One of my symptoms is painful sex. I get sore down there after sex. It used to be that way - I used to experience soreness and cuts after sex. I dont see any blisters, sores or lesions that would indicate Genital Herpes. I used to get cuts and redness on the posterior fourchette (the bottom area of my vaginal opening where the skin tags are located)

I seriously do not understand why Im experiencing painful sex. Its nothing unbearable - it sore, it stings when I urinate (the stinging while urinating goes away) it burns at times - they are mild and nothing unbearable. Ill describe the whole thing as GENITAL DISCOMFORT.

Dryness - I do not think is the issue. Im in my early 20s and far from menopause. My pap smear came back negative - my doctor did a pelvic exam and she said there are no signs of HPV - Genital warts to be precise. My doctor also says that it doesnt sound like Herpes which was supported by the negative blood test - like I said it could have been to early.

I do not know whats causing the pain and what to do to make it go away. Its really upsetting emotionally, physically and mentally - its just distressing.

I dont know why I did it, but I started putting this cream onto my vagina - its the cream I used when i had a yeast infection. I do not know if its working but i do feel less stinging.

The reason it's uncomfortable is because it's bumping your cervix. Changing the angle will probably help - you could lie flat on your stomach, or put your chest on the bed while you're on your knees, etc.

they enjoy is because they can see your behind and they enjoy seeing and FEELING you behind slap against their pelvis. Doggystyle also allows for deeper penetration - thats why they enjoy is so much.

I have experienced pain after sex also.  It would hurt to urinate after, which I do everytime to prevent a yeast infection. (My sister taught me that and I have never had an infection) The pain would be excruciating for a while after but when I would wake up in the morning the pain would be gone.  Don't fret it.  It is normal. I would have to agree that it has to do with being too dry.  It might feel wet once he's in but it still can be dry on the outside and that is where the pain can mostly be afterwards.  I would recommend the KY also.

I have had problems during sex also. I get a sharp pain, almost as if something were being forced inside of me and cutting me. I went to the doctor because I thought maybe it was PID and they said that it is nothing physical, but possibly mental, he recommended I get a book on sex "joy of sex" to help ease my mind. My background "I was raped twice so mentally I can't let go of that when having sex... aparently I just need to relax" I am now pregnant and horny, which is nice because it seems to make me forget that its painful just because I want it so bad. =)
Hope that helps. Take Care.

Go to the STD forums, and look in the archives for similar questions.  There is a doctor there, and it only costs $10 if you want to ask a new question, but searching the archives is free.  I know he has said in the past about how long it takes to get a positive herpes test, and I THINK he said 3 months.  You must be sure you have the proper type of test--HerpeSelect by Focus technologies is one of only 2 or 3 he says are accurate.  He says a lot of docs and labs still use the older tests.
If you are sure, you can call and ask if you had the HerpeSelect test.  Look at the archives to see what other tests he said were the accurate ones.  In any event, I believe (but again, search the archives) that he said it could take 3 months to get a positive result if you did indeed get HSV 2 genitally.
