pelvic pain and discolored menstruation

When I was at work one day (aug 11) I noticed a pain on my right over my pelvic bone. Feels alot like it's probably coming from my ovary (my sister has 2 ovarian cysts). That whole day it hurt so bad I could barely sit down. Since then it has just been a dull ache. on Aug 15th I got my period (it is always irregular- last one was 4-5 weeks late) Seems it was pretty much on time for once. When I got it (since it is never on time I was not prepared for it) I went to the bathroom to clean and put in a tampon. When I wiped the blood was more of a raspberry color than a red or brown. It has never been that color before.

On top of that trying to put a tampon in is incredibly painful when it is in far enough to hit whatever hurts on right side of my abdomen. This spot also hurts when I have sex in missionary position. I have a list of things that could be wrong and will probably see an obgyn on monday, but nothing on my list can explain the change in menstrual color.

I'm thinking it is either ovarian cyst, UTI (although having no trouble urinating or any pain with urinating), or more seriously: Pelvic inflammatory disease, Ectopic Pregnancy (took 3 pregnancy tests during 4 week time my period didn't come and all were negative) or Kidney stones which Im sure is not true since it hurts in my abdomen not my back.

Any other suggestions?

p.s... Who do I go see? A gyno or an MD? MD usually tests for UTI's but if it's an ovary problem i need to go to a gyno?? so confused...
