Is it normal to have a period of 12 days?

I started my period 3 days early last month, and this month, I started 7 days early. If I'm ever early, it's usually only a day maximum and I'm barely ever late. I've been on my period for 12 days now and it's not showing any signs of stopping any time soon. It's not completely heavy but it's not light either.

My period is usually quite heavy and so I've been taking Tranexamic Acid since I was 14 and I'm 20 now (still taking the same medication). For the first 4 days, I'm usually very heavy and have to change my pad every 1.5 - 2 hours since it gets soaked almost to the edge.

Should I be worried that I'm on my period for this long and that I started so early? Also, maybe I should note that my diet hasn't changed and I don't think I'm stressed out either. Well, this is the only thing stressing me out now.

That is outside of normal and too long to have a period.  While I wouldn't worry, I'd talk to your doctor about it.  I don't want to stress you out more but make an appointment with your ob to discuss this. good luck
