tail bone pain

I can only describe my problem as a bruised feeling in the tailbone area which worsens when I bend forward or sit down.  It isn't terribly bad, but noticable and not going away.  This is day 3.  Bowels do not seem to be affected, and the only other coincidental info is that the same day that it started, I also started a period that has been extra heavy.  Never had this before, and it's just weird, frustrating and worrisome.

Well, it might be connected to your period. I know that I feel like I have backaches when I get mine.

If it's tolerable, I'd wait until you finish your period and then if it doesn't go away, bring it to the attention of your doctor. A quick exam or x-ray should resolve a lot of potential unnecessary worry.
