uti? yeast infection? other?

Last week I was treated for an obvious uti with cipro, then 4 days later was treated for a yeast infection with diflucan, but the yeast infection was very painful with no usual discharge, I felt raw "inside", as well as irritation (itching) around my rectum, with a small, hard, painful lump on my labia, no blistering (nothing like the 2 yeast infections I have had in the past, yrs ago and I am 40yrs old now).  I was tested for sexually transmitted diseases at my insistance, even though I have been soley with my bf for 10mths, which all came back negative.  The symptoms got a little better, but there is still something wrong, I have felt as though I am getting another uti or yeast infection so I bought monistat today (the one day type) about 2 hours after inserting the "ovule" I experienced intense burning and somewhat itching...Please, if anyone knows what I can suggest to my dr to test for I would love some input, I dont know what else to do. Also, I have only had one uti in my past, which I know the reason for, this is all abnormal for me to have these types of problems.  Any input is most welcome.

I think pills can not work in your case. There is a kind of UTI which remains untreated. It is very rare, symptoms are the same, but it is more a condition of nerve system than infection.

My friend used monistat and the same thing happened to her. Her doctor said she was allergic toit and had to take prescription meds for it. The one-day type monistat is very harsh from what I have  heard.
