why is my vagina swollen and in pain

i was just wondering why this morning i woke up with a swollen vagina? i went to the toilet and when i peed it burned a little and when i cleand myself it hurt when i touched it. i then took a min to see under and it was red and swollen. im worried because i have not had sex for like a week and a half. not to long ago i got my annual exam it was clean. i talked to my mom about this. we came up to a conclusion that it could be because of the pills im taking. the pills are brth control pills and i take one every day tomorrow it will be a week scence i started to take them. but still i read the handout and this was not one of the symptoms. today after school i went to make an appoinment with my doctor she is not available until a week from today. i was doing a research on the internet and i think i might have a yeast infection. but if you guys might know whats wrong with me could you please write back as fast as you can because this pain is killing me.

thanks for taking your time and reading my problem it would really help a lot if you could answer me =p

sounds like it could be a yeast infection! Go to the doctor asap.

It does not sound like it's from the pill, it sounds like an infection.  Unfortunately there is not a way from just a description to differentiate between a yeast infection, BV, a venereal disease, or something else.  You're going to have to see the doc and get a diagnosis.  Good luck!
