smells fishy

I have a smell and was told to take acidophilus capsules,but can I still have intercourse?

you can still have sex, but it's probably best to abstain until you know the infection is gone. otherwise sex may aggravate it further. have you talked to your doctor about this? because if this is bacterial vaginosis, you need antibiotics as well. good luck!

haha looks like we posted at the same time! also, yeah there's no problem with takes the capsules..but they might not really help if it's BV.

I'm pretty sure acidophilus will help with yeast infections, but if it has a "fishy" or a more foul smell it may be a bacterial infection and you will need antibiotics for it. The doctor will do a culture to find out exactly what is causing it and will prescribe something for you to treat it accordingly. I would hold off on intercourse until you find out for sure what it is. It may aggravate it more. I hope this helps.
