Is this true even for HIV.....

And whether STD includes HIV. Or if we talk about STD we are not talking about HIV. It is altogether different

HIV is an std but when talked about, it is usually termed "stds including HIV" This is because HIV can be transmitted by other means than sexual contact ie. sharing needles, birth by a mother who got it in a non-sexual manner...things like that.  At least that is the way I look at it. Most people who have HIV get it by having sex with people who have the virus, but there are a high amount of people who also get it from other means.

When we talk about std then whatever the view is, does that view hold good forhiv also. In other words does the broad category of std includes hiv also.
