I'd certainly follow up on these with a dermatologist to make sure they are even warts. if they haven't cleared on their own by now, using creams probably isn't going to help and they'll need surgically removed ( not as bad as it sounds - they scrape them off in the office ).
I went to a sexual health clinic about 2 years ago, i was given cream to get rid of them but i didnt finnish the course, at the time it wasnt explained to me that this was hpv as i went originally as i contracted clymidia from my first sexual contact since my ex partner( around sept/oct 2009) oh the irony! as i contracted gonohria when i first met my ex partner(not much luck!). the warts where already there and the clinician looked at them and gave the cream whilst also giving anti biotics to clear the clymidia. thank you for your help
how were you diagnosed as these being warts?
Hi grace,
thank you for your response, and appologies if i posted my question in the wrong section? i have never used any forums before and i literally didnt know! In answer to your query, the 3 very small warts which are not noticable unless scrutinised are covered by my genital hair, and probably out of a lack of knowledge about these warts, and also the fact they dont make an obvious off putting appearence meant that i have lived with them, however i wish to point out i am very concious of personal hygene. once again i dont know if im aloud to ask you for your knoledgable and greatfull help? but if i didnt catch this desease off my ex? im confused as to whom else it was? i met my ex in feb 2006 briefly having a sexual encounter but we didnt continue seeing each other until november 2006. I was faithfull whilst together and i vaguely recollect in 2008/2009 i developed these 3, (tiny warts) the last time i slept with my ex partner was roughly 2008/april before we split, and because i was unsure if we would ever get back and for my daughter sake, i didnt move on with a sexual encounter until september 2009, i hope this makes sense, and i am very gratefull for your help, kind regards nick
you tried to post on someone else's post in the std experts forum which isn't allowed. you have to pay to post there for help.
the type of hpv your expartner has is different from the type you have. there are over 30 different types of hpv that typically infect our genital areas - some cause obvious warts and others cause cervical cell changes as well as cancers of the penis and head and neck. you have the type that causes obvious warts, she has a type that infects the cervix.
warts will not cause your penis to sting when urinating. see your provider monday for proper testing to try to figure out what is going on.
any particular reason why you've walked around with warts for 3 years without having them removed?
