I was diagnosed with colon cancer and gall bladder cancer last year. I had a portion of my colon removed and my gall bladder entirely removed along with a small crescent of liver. A year later I appear to be cancer free but my stools tend to be greasy and also have a horrible odor. I mentioned it to one of my doctors and they suggested eating some "gumnies" to help. I haven't noticed that they have helped but admit that I have not been using them regularly. I feel fine otherwise so am hoping this will improve over time. I unfortunately love my coffee with sugar and half & half and understand that the lack of a gall bladder means that fats are not digested as easily. Here's a link to an article concerning that: https://www.liverdoctor.com/things-you-must-know-you-dont-have-gallbladder/
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see what others have for ideas and/or suggestions in dealing with this.
Hello, yes I expierence the same thing, I am scared out of my mind bc the consistency of my stool is mushy, the stool looks solid so im confused, then i read that if you have this type of bowel.. the big C(cancer) word............but i did have my gall bladder out 8years ago and never changed my diet..
Since there is a change in the digestive system, it might be moving through much faster than before, ect., but you need to discuss with your doctor to be sure.
Yes. Even I am also having same thing. Odor is so bad, I have to use room fresheners after I have BM
