Hi all,
Recently I am diagnosed with Hashimoto with a very high anti bodies:
Anti Thyroglobulin Abs: 187.8 IU/ml REF (0 - 60)
Anti Thyroid Peroxidase Abs : >1300.0 IU/ml REF (0 - 60)
I read a lot on the internet that these anti bodies will continue to exist even after the thyroid dies or be surgically removed. The anti- bodies will simply find another organ to attack. In another words, one can suffer from another immune disease. Is this right or these anti bodies is for thyroid only and do not attack any organ but the thyroid?
